With our state-of-the-art preschool environment and colorful large play areas, students and parents feel safe and at home from the moment they enter The Gardner School of Chicago – River North. Your child will love our indoor playscape and enrichment studio, where we encourage learning and development through our variety of programs to help build gross motor skills and friendships! Our Kids’ Café allows older students to enjoy delicious organic meals together outside the classroom.

Our learning atmosphere at The Gardner School of Chicago – River North nurtures intellectual growth through a variety of visual and audio aids, educational toys, games, puzzles, and learning supplies and is centered around curriculum-based lessons, child-directed activities, and structured play. Your child will also have access to Creative Curriculum, World of Wonders Curriculum, and Learning without Tears Curriculum. We are proud to have achieved the honor of national accreditation through the National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs (NAEYC).

The Gardner School of Chicago – River North has a rich learning environment that stimulates your child’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Our River North preschool offers educational preschool and early childhood programs for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.

Our school is located in the Montgomery Building at 500 West Superior, just around the corner from Starbucks, offering a convenient spot for families in the River North neighborhood.

We have gone above and beyond traditional childcare and preschool programs. At The Gardner School of Chicago – River North, we believe each child should have experiences of self-esteem, which are crucial for their development in adjusting, exploring, and growing. Brittany loves the joyful energy that fills The Gardner School of River North each day. Seeing how happy and excited children are to be at school and with their favorite teachers is one of the most rewarding parts of her role. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree at National Louis University.

Megan Macaluso

Assistant Director

Megan loves the meaningful connections that happen each day at The Gardner School of River North. Since joining TGS in July 2025, she has enjoyed building relationships with children and families while helping create a calm, welcoming environment where everyone feels supported. Megan earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Leadership and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree at Western Governors University.

What moments make Megan smile most during the day?
